   注意句子中的than的含义，照一般理解这里的than表示“比”。细想一下，这里的than（先不看more），到底b表达了什么意思？仔细体会，不难发现，chewed off 和 bite以及后面的had to stick with the same piece of bait for the rest of your life在主人公看来有着深刻联系：人一旦介入某事，也就处于难于摆脱此事的困境，一旦bite,你就无法chewed off，而且你的余生也就had to stick with了，than不是表达“比”而是表达了伴随：chewed off， had to stick伴随着bite，than的比含义，应该是伴随比。英语词典对than的解释是：used when comparing two things,people,situations etc（用于比较两个事，两个人，两种情况等等），结合课文，作者用than引出两件事：一件事是 bite，另一件事是chewed off，再用and把前两件事推向更深的哲理：had to stick with the same piece of bait for the rest of your life（要用余生来嚼这块鱼饵），不难发现，chewed off伴随着bite发生，反映了主人公的世界观，他想摆脱，寻找属于自己的那个世界。一个很常见的than，表达了伴随比，这个“比”就是把两个事，两个人，两种情况摆出来，一件事，人，情况伴随另一个一件事，人，情况，如此深刻，值得推敲。
